Oprah, Ellen, Conan and Jay - Your Personal .Tels are Waiting For You.

A Canadian businessman wants to give Showcase Personal Domains to high profile celebrities.

On the internet, the newest domain names Ellen.tel, Leno.tel, Conan.tel and Oprah.tel have all been recently registered, but not to whom first comes to mind. Three of these domains are just sitting there, idle, collecting virtual dust. The logical thinking would be that the current owners might be working on some really big plans for them. If that’s the case, and although their respective probably-for-sale domains bear a striking resemblance to some well-known celebrities, we wish them well.

Canadian domain developer Knowledge Probe Inc. (KProbe), has registered an attractive, alternative set of showcase personal domains with the express intent of donating them to these famous TV personalities and needs your help to make the celebrity - .tel connection.

Says Mark Kolb, president of KProbe: "After I saw that the singular forms of the domains were taken, I obtained the possessive forms in order to let their rightful owners use them to their full .Tel potential. But the trouble is that we can't get hold of any of the celebrities or their staff to give these names to them. So we’re enlisting your assistance - to help us channel these domains into the hands of very deserving public figures. If they or their staff’ contact us, we’ll be happy to transfer their respective personal domains at absolutely no cost to them. It’s our small way of saying ‘thank you’ for all the fun, information and entertainment that they have provided to millions of people over the years.”

Jay, here’s your Lenos.tel.

Ellen, reserved for you is Ellens.tel.

Conan, try out Conans.tel. And last, but not least …

Oprah, please step forward to get your personal Oprahs.tel.

For those that don’t yet know, .tel domains are the latest internet innovation from www.telnic.org. .Tel is a revolutionary new internet service (March 2009) that allows individuals and businesses alike to store and manage all of their contact information, keywords and listings directly within the infrastructure of the internet, without the need to build, host or manage a website. It’s the cheapest and simplest way to have a web presence.

“We live in an exceptionally fast-paced, ‘socially-connected’ mobile world” says Kolb. “It’s increasingly difficult for people, especially celebrities, to expand and manage their social networks and to keep their dedicated fans updated on the latest news, gossip, guest appearances and other important events without going to multiple sites. A .Tel personal domain allows anyone to have a single point of contact for all of their contact info, social networks – Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace - as well as other personal and business web sites, ALL of which can be accessed from one easy-to-remember location.”

Kolb continues: “Perhaps best of all for celebrities, a .Tel personal domain incorporates some very sophisticated security features that allows them (Ellen, Jay, Oprah and Conan) to share very private information with a select network of close personal friends and family and yet still give fans access to public information. It’s a perfect little communications package that serves friends, family and fans differently. Let’s say, for example, Oprah loses her mobile phone. At some point she’ll have to contact all of her friends and family with her new number. With a .Tel personal domain, all she will have to do is make the change once in the domain and all of the people that are in her inner circle will have immediate access to her new number.”

The .Tel community knows the power of a memorable .Tel domain. Now it’s time for the rest of the world to learn about the new way of communicating in the 21st century.
